El Baraka Tunisia is a well-known company in the collection and the recycling of used cooking oil. El Baraka Tunisia collects more than 30,000 liters monthly from various establishments throughout the Tunisian territory.
We recycle used cooking oil, following a strict procedure, in accordance with :
- To the environmental impact study approved by the National Agency for the Protection of the Environment (ANPE)
- To the specifications filed and approved by the National Agency for Waste Management (ANGED)
And this, with a view to their use in the energy sectors outside any food circuit, cosmetic, medical or animal.
Based on the experience of our team, El Baraka Tunisia values 100% all the quantities of used cooking oil collected from catering professionals, restaurant, hotels… These cooking oil go through different stages of treatment such as : Filtration to exclude macro-waste up to 1 micron and the elimination of water by settling and heating to give them a second life.
Our process of recycling used cooking oil plays a very important role in protecting the environment. Our team take care to follow an innovative and environmental approach, from collection to delivery to our approved sites.
Once the collected oil are filtered to remove the organic part (remaining frying) and water.
The remaining part, completely oily, then undergoes a chemical reaction called trans-esterification, which generates the biodesel and a byproduct, glycerine.
The biofuel produced is destined completely for export, mainly to intermediaries, who resell it. Exporting countries are numerous such as : France, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, or even Germany.
